ProMax® - industry leader in steady state process simulation

INTRODUCTION

Promax training sessions are an integral part of the customer services and technical support offered to ProMax users in India and around the globe. We are glad to inform you that BR&E, in partnership with USP-Energy Division will be organizing the forthcoming training sessions, as follows:

DATES

Mon-Wed, 14th-16th October, 2019 - BRE 101: Oil and Gas - 3 days

Thur – Fri, 17th-18th October, 2019 - BRE 231-Sour Gas Processing– 2 days

Please note:

BRE 101: Oil & Gas

This course introduces the basics of process modeling and optimization with ProMax® by using exercises focused on Oil & Gas industry units, such as a simple gas plant with stabilizer, an amine system, a glycol system, and a sulfur recovery unit. Each process is discussed with emphasis on common specifications, rules-of-thumb, and product requirements. In addition to process descriptions, the basics of process simulation are discussed, along with the capabilities and features of ProMax. Many techniques and methods used in developing simulation models for plants and facilities will be covered.

Prerequisites – None.

BRE 231: Sour Gas Processing

The Sour Gas Processing course is a detailed discussion of amine units, physical absorption units, glycol dehydration units, and sulfur recovery units. The operating principles of these units are presented and modeled in ProMax®, as well as exploring the rationale for common variations seen in these process units.

In this two (2) day course ProMax users are given opportunities to explore and gain understanding of amine, physical solvent, glycol dehydration, and sulfur recovery systems through extensive, hands-on use of the Scenario Tool® and ProMax models. The course demonstrates how to use these tools for plant design and process optimization.

Prerequisites – BRE 101 or 111.
